Visiting great-grandpa and the assisted living facility he lives in now. It’s much better for him. His mind is gone. So sad.

Traveling wore Brody out. He NEVER sleeps on someone’s shoulder like this normally. I was so surprised he stayed asleep when my dad took him out of the van to go see my mom in the hospital.

My little sister, Kathy, just had a baby a month ago, so Brody and I went to go visit her in CA for a week, last week.

It’s a party driving alone with Brody! Actually, he did surprisingly well. On the way there, I left our house at 6:30pm and got there a little past midnight. Brody was awake until Blythe, where we stopped for gas, dinner, and a breastfeed. And then he slept the last 3.5 hours. It was awesome!

On the way home, we left Kathy’s house at 4:30pm, and he slept for two straight hours. Yeah for mommy! Then we stopped about an hour later in Blythe again. He played in the play place for about an hour at Carls Jr. Yay for the toddler area! Then it was about dark then, so we left he he slept the last hour!

I’m not a huge fan of traveling at night, but it worked well for me! Especially when it was just Brody and I, and no one in the backseat to play with Brody.

It was fun for Brody to play with his cousin Keagan, although I’m sure Keagan would have liked it if Brody were a tad older.

Brody had no idea what a baby was. It was funny to see him look at Krew.

Krew is the easiest baby! Makes me want another one. Someday!

I wish my sister lived just like 6 minutes away, but I guess I’ll take 6 hours instead of living in the midwest like my other two sisters do.

It’s so fun just hanging out at home, chatting, and enjoy playing with our boys!

Every three years, my mom’s side of the family has a reunion. And it’s a blast every time! Just a few of the fun things we do:

• whitewater rafting
• horseback riding
• family dance
• group dinners
• dinner theater
• float down the snake river
• rock climbing
• talent show
• spiritual time
• Grammy sack lunches everyday
• and just fun times being with family!

My grandparents are the best for being so organized and putting it together. It’s not easy and it’s NOT cheap.

brody loves vacationing! he gets to play in rocks and dirt all day long! two parts of vacationing he still needs to work on a bit: sitting in his carseat for hours (which I would not love) and not be so shy with strangers (which I’m okay with actually because he always wants to come to me instead!).
